Bill C-35 – The Canada Disability Benefit Act

The Canada Disability Benefit Act, also known as Bill C-35, was tabled in the House of Commons on June 22nd, 2021.

The Bill looks to address the social and economic barriers that people with disabilities face in Canada. The Bill addresses employment, poverty, equality and the obligations of set out by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities.
